INGREDIENTS
- 3 tablespoons Animal Fat (e.g., beef tallow, lard)
- 3 cloves Garlic, crushed
- 2 small Red Chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste (optional)
- Pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place a large saucepan over high heat.
- Add the animal fat, garlic, and chopped chilies, sauté for 3-5 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the salt and stir well.
- Add the ground beef. Stir continuously to break apart the meat, sauté for 10 minutes until the beef is well browned.
- Add the tomato paste and stir well (optional)
- Reduce the heat to a low simmer and continue to cook, uncovered, for 20-30 minutes.
- Taste your chili and add additional salt and pepper if desired.
